Lilly
Hi! I'm Lilly!
I was born
around April of 2008. My foster mom found me scared, dirty and hungry under a
bush. I've had a much
better life since then. I always have enough food and water and
the house is really warm.
I love to be
petted and to roll over and have my belly rubbed. I enjoy playing with
strings. I would prefer a quiet home maybe with an older couple or a family
with older kids. I'd prefer not to be with a lot of other cats. I have been in
foster care for almost two years and nobody has been interested in me. I am too
afraid to go to the adoption events. That is a hard experience for any cat and
I get really stressed out. So, I hang out at the foster home and nobody gets to
see what a sweet cat I am. Please consider giving me a chance. I would love a
home of my own.
My adoption
fee includes my spay surgery, deworming, FIV/feline
leukemia
testing, vaccinations and other vet care that I've needed while in
foster care.

Sophie
Meet Sophie!
Sophie is an extra special
cat! One very cold and snowy
night in December of 2008
she found her way into the
warm basement of her foster
mom's home. This was
certainly a surprise but she
seemed to be in need and was
welcomed. She was happy to
find some food and a clean
litter box.
Sophie was likely born in
the winter of 2007. She is
very sweet, friendly and
social. She loves people as
well as dogs. She is very
affectionate towards the dog
in her foster home.
However, she is a dominant
cat and can be a bully with
other cats. She gets along
with some but not so well
with others. She does well
with children.
Sophie loves to be on your
lap and has very soft fur.
She has a
minor skin condition,
diagnosed as "dermatitis".
She receives an injection
every three months for
this. This injection is
only $18 and the vet hopes
that the condition will go
away at some point.
Sophie's adoption fee
includes her spay surgery,
FIV/leukemia testing,
vaccinations, deworming and
other veterinary care that
she has needed. She is ready
to find her forever home
immediately and hopes not to
spend another year in
foster care.

Sidney
Say HI to Sidney!
Sidney
is a very cute orange kitty. He was born around October of
2008 and is the brother of Simon. There were five orange
brothers and together with their mama, they survived the
harsh winter as tiny stray cats. In the
spring, the family whose home they had made their own
decided that mama and her three litters of kittens needed to
find their own homes. Sidney and his brother Simon came to a
foster home.
Sidney is the sweetest and most gentle boy.
He has a tiny, soft meow. He is shy but loving and longs
for attention from his foster mom. He is a sweetheart. He
would do best in a home without small children. He gets
along well with other cats and should do fine with friendly
dogs as well. Sidney's adoption fee includes his neutering,
vaccinations, FIV/Feline Leukemia testing,
deworming and other necessary vet care. Please consider
making this wonderful boy a part of your family today!

Cody
This is Cody!
Cody was born mid March of 2009. He was living with his mother and five
siblings in very dirty conditions. All were flea and mite infested. Cody is
all black with a white spot
on his chest. His fur is very soft and sleek. He was the smallest in his
litter and is a wonderful cat. When he was a tiny boy, he was always the first
to run up and want to cuddle. He still loves to cuddle and is definitely a lap
cat. He also loves to play with toys. Bring out the
laser pointer and he becomes a crazy
maniac.
Cody has heard that black cats don't
get adopted easily and is finding this to be a harsh reality. All of his siblings have
been adopted but he remains without a family. When he arrived in
foster
care he was only three weeks old and is now an adult. He wants
people to know that he is a wonderful cat and is just as special now as he was
when he was a tiny kitten. He is very good natured, loving and playful. His
foster mom describes him as the perfect cat!
Cody's adoption fee includes his neutering, deworming, vaccinations, FIV/Leukemia
testing and other vet care. Cody hopes to hear from you soon!

Chloe
Please check out Chloe!
Chloe came into
foster care with her six brand new kittens. She was
terribly thin, covered in fleas and riddled with ear mites.
When you pet her all you felt was her spine. During her time in foster care,
she has put on five pounds! You can see the change in her "before and after"
pictures.
Chloe was one of many cats at a home that were not being properly cared for by
their owner. She was likely born in the spring of 2006. Chloe is friendly and
is not shy around visitors to the home. She is a total lap cat and also likes
to roll over to have her belly rubbed. She is a talker but not in an annoying
way. She just likes to tell you when something is going on. She has a sweet
and soft meow. She has been responsible with her scratching and enjoys not only
the sisal rope
post but the cardboard scratching pad.
Chloe would do
best as the only cat in the household, with another very tolerant cat or with
her son Cody. Chloe tends to be a bully with other cats and wants to show them
that she is in charge. She would do well with children and in just about any
other situation.
Chloe is available for adoption immediately. Her adoption fee includes her spay
surgery, FIV/Feline Leukemia testing, deworming and
vaccinations as well as all of that other vet care to get rid of those nasty
parasites! Chloe would love to have a new start in life in a wonderful new
home. She has been waiting a long time in foster care. Please consider making
her a part of your family!

Gabriel
Make a friend with
Gabriel!
Gabriel was
likely born around 05/06/09. This beautiful boy was found very scared, very
hungry and very sick at about four weeks old. His foster mom's coworkers were
out for a walk on their break and this little guy came screaming for help out of
the tall weeds. At first they thought he was a rodent of some sort. He was far
too young to be away from his mommy but somebody apparently dropped him off to
fend for himself. His eyes were matted shut and he was covered in diarrhea.
Now, Gabriel is happy and healthy. He is a very lovable boy and likes to curl
up on your chest. He is also very feisty and likes to play hard. It is
believed that Grady is his brother as he was also found the same day dropped off
in a different location and everything seems to indicate that they
are brothers.
Gabriel is
neutered, tested for FIV/feline leukemia,
dewormed, vaccinated, has been treated for ear mites
and a respiratory infection. All of this is included in his adoption fee.
Please consider giving Gabriel his second chance at life.

Gracie
Meet Gracie!
Gracie is an older cat,
estimated to be between five
and seven years old. She
was found fending for
herself outside, which is no
place for a
declawed cat.
Gracie is very quiet and
affectionate. She loves to
have her head and chin
scratched. Gracie has a
"collapsed" ear on the right
side which causes her no
discomfort but is a little
unusual looking. She also
suffers from arthritis in
her right knee.
Gracie needs a special home
that will pamper her and not
be turned off by her
slightly special needs. She
would do best in
a quiet home without small
children. She just wants to
quietly relax and sleep on
your lap.
Gracie has been spayed and
declawed. She has been
vaccinated, dewormed, tested
for FIV/Feline Leukemia and
treated for fleas as well as
an
ear
infection.
All of this is included in
her adoption fee.
P.S. Gracie is not very
photogenic. She closes her
eyes every time the flash
goes off. It was hard to
capture her sweet face but
her foster mom did the best
that she could.
Update: In
February of 2010 Gracie was
diagnosed with early stage
kidney disease
but hopes to live a long
life on prescription cat
food.

Simon
Meet Simon!
Simon is a handsome young boy. He was born around October of 2008 and he and
his four orange brothers survived the harsh winter outside with their
mother. In the spring the family who his mother had adopted decided that there
wasn't room for her and her three litters of kittens. It seems that she got
pregnant and gave birth at every opportunity since showing up at their house.
Simon came to a foster home with his very adorable brother Sidney. Simon loves
the company of all cats and seeks out their companionship. He is an ambassador
of good will with all cats that come and go from his temporary home. He loves
to be pet and will purr very loudly when given attention.
Unfortunately, Simon is not a fan of visitors and so finding him a home has been
difficult. He likes to hide when he hears strange footsteps coming his way and
so nobody sees what a fantastic and friendly cat he is. He needs someone who
will put their faith in him and give him a chance to be their buddy. Simon is
hoping that his opportunity will come soon. He has been in foster care for
quite a long time.
Simon's adoption fee includes his neutering, FIV/Feline Leukemia testing,
deworming, vaccinations and other necessary medical care. Please consider
making this handsome kitty a part of your family today!

Gidget
Gidget
Gidget is an
adorable Gray gal. She found her way to her Foster home on a cold night
last November, waiting by the door to be let in. She let her foster daddy pick
her up right away. She is about a year old as of November 2009. She would
likely fit into just about any family. She is very good with children, loves
them and does great in a chaotic environment. Her foster family currently has 4
children under the age of 5 and they all love to hold her, squeeze her, and love
her all too much. She would be smarter to RUN away at times, but she is much
to laid back and doesn't want to be that far away from people. She follows her
foster mom around the house like a little lost puppy. She loves to be petted
and will purr very loudly when the kids are sleeping and she finally gets a
chance to curl up on her foster mommy's lap. Her favorite pastime is chasing
her own tail, or the other cat around the house.
Her
adoption fee includes her spay surgery, FIV/leukemia testing, vaccinations,
deworming and other veterinary care that she has needed. She is ready to find
her forever home immediately and hopes to hear from you soon!

Emily is a beautiful gray and buff coloring. She is very sweet and affectionate

where she was one of as many as seventy cats. She was one of the lucky ones to

Emma
Adorable Emma
Emma is a gorgeous orange and white tabby. She
was born the beginning of March 2010. Emma is a special needs kitty. She was
turned over to the rescue with information that her leg was broken and the
owners could not afford to treat it. She was just over a pound and eight weeks
old when she came to the rescue. When she got to her foster home it was clear
that both of her back legs were affected and she was unable to walk. An exam
the next day revealed that Emma had
nerve damage to both back
legs, which can be irreversible. Her prognosis was very uncertain. She was
splinted to help keep her legs immobile while she healed. However, about a week
later she developed sores on her feet and the splints had to be removed.
Shortly after, it was discovered that she did not have proper circulation in her
feet and within about a day, they were dead. Surgery was scheduled to amputate
both rear legs at the tarsal joint. However, by the date of the surgery Emma
had made remarkable progress and was able to walk and run like a normal kitten.
It was decided that the surgery would be put on hold. As of today, about half
of her "foot" is healthy on both sides and the vet hopes that there may be some
remaining healthy tissue under all the dead tissue. It is hoped that the
remaining healthy tissue will allow her to get around well. Emma will not be
available for adoption until her dead tissue is gone. She will be spayed after
that.
Emma is very sweet and
very playful. As you can see, she has the sweetest face you have ever seen. If
you cannot adopt Emma, please consider making a donation to help cover the cost
of her care.

Ella
Introducing Ella
Ella is an adorable pint sized gray tabby. When she was rescued her foster mom
thought she was a kitten and was surprised when the vet said that she was an
adult at less than five pounds! She was likely born in the spring of 2009.
When Ella entered foster care she was covered in diarrhea and had an eye
injury. It took a few months for her eye to heal and she has some slightly
noticeable scar tissue on her right eye. Ella came from a home with over 70
cats who were terribly neglected.
It is believed that Ella is Emily's sister and they are wonderful friends. They
most always cuddle up together on the cat tree or a carpeted shelf. Ella is
quiet, gentle and very sweet. She tolerates other cats exceptionally well. She
would do well in just about any home.
Ella's adoption fee includes her spay surgery, deworming, vaccinations and
testing for FIV/Feline Leukemia.
