Cats For Adoption

Please enjoy your visit with our Feline friends! They need good homes and loving owners!

 Hobo

Hobo

Hobo was in pretty sad shape upon entering the rescue; it was obvious that food had not been plentiful and I'm sure that mealtime consisted of whatever he could find. If being homeless, hungry and lonely wasn’t enough, at some point in his life he had lost a back paw, so getting around was a bit cumbersome also. This however wasn’t going to slow this warrior down, hobbling along he came, right into our house and into our hearts.

First thing on the agenda was food, food, food, and when nighttime fell, Hobo finally had a full belly and safe place to sleep. His initial trip to the vet revealed that the paw had probably been lost to a trap, the leg was completely healed but it did cause him some pain, the recommendation was to remove the leg. After a couple months of building up his strength, Hobo’s back leg was removed. His surgery took place on a Friday morning and by Saturday my friend was already up and around. His recovery has been remarkable, never once did he complain.

Hobo is around 8yrs old and has a huge personality. He is a very vocal kitty with numerous stories to tell. He loves to have his head scratched; his belly rubbed and simply adores sleeping in your lap. Having been a Tom cat for many years, he is a little rough around the edges and does not do well with other cats. He is best buds with the resident dog

Hobo will be ready for his forever home the first week of February. His demands are few, only that he be the single kitty and due to his slight handicap no young children please. A calm dog would be very nice as he would enjoy the company. Hobo has never had the privilege of being someone’s pet and yet he is so deserving of just that. If you are a true cat lover and looking for a best friend, give this guy some thought.

 Peaches

Peaches
Peaches

Peaches

This young female Dilute Calico along with her three precious babies were removed from an animal control facility where not many make it out. Shelters are not nice places for Mothers to give birth much less have to care for them, Peaches was doing her best to deal with the situation and fortunately for this family they were taken into a rescue.

Peaches is about 1yr old, probably just a spring kitten herself last year, and here she is with babies. She's a very pretty little kitty with a great personality. She loves attention, has been a great mother and is hoping to find a wonderful family that will appreciate her maturity and realize the value of an adult cat.

Peaches tested negative to FeLV and FIV, is up to date on vaccinations and will be spayed when her babies no longer depend on her for food.

 Rudy and Sissy

Rudy and Sissy had a precarious start in life. Just a few weeks old, they somehow found themselves dangerously scampering through a heat treating factory in Jackson, Michigan. Hungry and sick, they were scooped up by a good samaritan and brought to AFL. Under weight and fatigued with upper respiratory infections, these precious babies were nursed back to health and are now ready for their forever home. Rudy, with his white nose, is the adventurer, always checking out the situation to let his more cautious sister, Sissy, know that it's ok. Rudy is very expressive and "speaks" with his eyes and facial expressions. A smart kitten, he is the social butterfly of the two. Sissy is a bit shy, but very loving and playful. Both kittens get along with other cats and dogs and would love to be adopted together if possible.

 Callie

Callie

Hi!  My name is Callie.  I am about one year old.  I am a friendly and affectionate cat.  I like to play and to sleep in bed.  I've had a rough start in my life.  I was abandoned and quickly gave birth to kittens.  People were anxious to adopt my kittens but not me because I am an older cat.  I have been waiting a very long time for a home and have been bouncing around from place to place.  I am already spayed and up to date on all of my vaccinations and vet care.  I am litter trained and am a responsible clawer, (that means that I don't claw anything that I'm not supposed to).  I will likely fit in with just about any type of family or even with a single person.  Please consider making me a part of your family today.

 Isabella

Hi, I'm Isabella!

I am about one year old, previously lived outside and wasn't even given a name! When I got pregnant it was decided that I wasn't wanted anymore. I had four healthy kittens who have needed a lot of my attention! Now I'm ready to get some attention of my own.  I am very sweet and am a quiet cat. I absolutely love to have my belly rubbed and will roll over on my back to have you scratch it. I love attention and am very affectionate. I'm okay at the foster home but would rather have a home of my own. I'm not sure what my chances are of being adopted since I've been told that people rarely want to adopt adult black cats. But, I'm really hoping someone will give me a chance to show them what a wonderful companion I can be.

My adoption fee includes my spaying, deworming, vaccinations and FeLV/FIV testing which were both negative.
