It is our goal to place a healthy pet into your home.

We provide all necessary vet care for the animals while they are housed in our foster homes. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, heartworm test, feline leukemia test and worming. Listed below are the average prices that area vets charge the general public for all the services that are included in our adoption fee.

Initial office exam         $45

Rabies vaccine               $30

Heartworm test              $33

Spay for Dog                    $200 (varies by weight)

Neuter for Dog                 $185 (varies by weight)

Spay for Cats                   $155

Neuter for Cats                $125

Average vet cost for new pet      (approx.)      $300.00

We do not turn away a possible foster due to health issues.  Heartworm-positive dogs and injured and/or wounded pets are regularly taken in, and the fees for caring for these special-needs animals are NEVER passed onto the adoptive family.

With the support of the community, and the partnership of area veterinarians that give rescue groups many services at discounted prices plus active fundraising all year long,  we are able to place a pet into your home for a reasonable adoption fee.
